This year the KSRA membership converged on Topeka, KS to attend the Annual Members Meeting which was combined with a Shooting Festival and it was a huge success. Attendance is estimated around 200 or more.
We heard from guest speakers Senator Sam Brownback who is running for Governor, Constitutional Scholar Kris Kobach who is running for Secretary of State and Kansas Senator Tim Huelskamp who is running for Congress. We were also treated to a great presentation by shooting champion George Norton and an educational presentation from Jeff Howlett, Dave Gilmore and Darin Reese on the purchase of Class III firearms.
After the meeting we adjourned to Capital City Gun Club where we enjoyed a great BBQ lunch and indulged in lots of shooting activities in all the disciplines. The most popular event this year was the full auto range. A good time was had by all!
We are already working on the 2010 event and we plan to have a 2 day event in Wichita, KS with lots more new surprises up our sleeves! Stay tuned for information to come on that soon!
It was great to meet so many of you! We got some great photographs thanks to volunteer photographer Kevin White. Check them out!
